If you are a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) or very empathic in general, you may find yourself drawn to professions in the helping fields. This is a beautiful thing, to help and serve others in this way, but these professions often require a lot of empathy. It's important to keep your inner reserves in check to make sure you also prioritize giving yourself the nurturing and care that you’re extending to others, so you are not experiencing burnout in a profession that is so meaningful to you.
I've really enjoyed being a contributer for @highlysensitiverefuge! My latest piece has been published on the topic of chronic invalidation.
What a beautiful quote. What if you chose to ask yourself how you can be better than the version of yourself from yesterday, rather than comparing yourself to others? How would your life be different?
This is a powerful quote. Take a moment to reflect on what it is that YOU can't stop thinking about. But, not just thinking, but also where you notice a feeling of joy, drive, passion, and excitement as you think about this. You may find it's that thing you can't stop talking about, reading/learning about, or what you tend to do on your "downtime". This is your passion.
Do you find you ever get stuck in talking about what you want to do, or what you want your life to be like, rather than taking that next step? Maybe it's towards a healthy change in your life or a step towards your dreams.
Are you staying true to yourself or are you honoring what you perceive others want or think instead?
